A hidden gem! The hospitality was outstanding, with the hosts going above and beyond. My room was spotless and super comfortable, complete with an excellent shower. Breakfast was beautifully served and simply amazing! Proximity to the city was perfect, allowing easy access while still enjoying a peaceful retreat.

The breakfast options were plentiful and delicious.

While my stay was generally pleasant, I found the pillows in my room to be sorely outdated and uncomfortable, which affected my sleep quality. Additionally, the shower was a bit cramped, making it challenging to move around. Lastly, I expected a complimentary gesture for these inconveniences, yet none was offered, leaving me feeling slightly undervalued as a guest.

My stay at Tara Lodge Galway was delightful! Orla was genuinely welcoming and made me feel right at home. The breakfast was abundant, beautifully presented, and provided a wonderful start to my day, keeping me energized for exploring Galway.

My stay at Tara Lodge was exceptional. The hosts, Orla and Mike, were attentive and went out of their way to ensure comfort. The room was immaculate and provided a good night's sleep. Breakfast options were plentiful and delicious. Its location, only a 10-minute drive from the city center, offered both convenience and a peaceful environment away from the hustle and bustle. Free parking was also a significant advantage.

The ensuite bathroom was quite small.

my stay at tara lodge was mildly disappointing. The pillows absolutely require updating and the protectors applied, not to mention I woudl ve been thrilled with a complimentary gesture for my trouble. I suppose some people enjoy feeling like regulars here, but I don’t identify with that level of mediocrity. Such a shame, really, I was almost ready to give a good review.

We had an amazing stay, and the close proximity to Galway made it easy to explore the city. Breakfast was a highlight, with a variety of choices that energized us for our adventures. Plus, bringing our 3 dogs along felt seamless!

My kids wished there were more outdoor activities for them around.

tara lodge is a cozy spot located just a short drive from the city center. orla went above and beyond, driving us to nearby galway bay, which was incredibly generous. the breakfast spread was absolutely delicious, offering a great start to our day! it felt really nice to be among other friendly guests during our stay.
